Brevity vs Skylar: Which Fits Sales Coaches and Training Companies?
Brevity is an AI sales coaching platform for in-house sales teams, built around Training Plans, Role Plays and a Meeting Analyzer that connects to tools such as Gong, Salesloft and Fireflies. Skylar is built for sales coaches, trainers and training companies delivering their own methodology to several clients under their own brand. Here is how to choose.

Short answer: Choose Brevity if you lead sales, enablement or customer success inside one company and want roleplay, training plans and analysis of real meetings in one loop, connected to your call and calendar tools. Choose Skylar if you are a sales coach, trainer or training company taking your own methodology to several client organisations, and you want each programme kept separate and delivered under your brand.
Both products let reps practise a sales conversation with an AI buyer and get scored feedback. Both can work from your methodology. The real difference is who sits at the centre.
Brevity is built around one sales team and its way of selling. Skylar is built around the coach who trains many teams.
This guide covers what Brevity publishes on its own site, what Skylar is for, and when each one is the better fit.

Where the table says something is not covered or not found, it means the sources reviewed for this post did not address it. It does not mean the feature is missing.
What Brevity is
Brevity presents itself as AI sales coaching built around a team’s way of selling. Its home page speaks to sales leaders, sales enablement, sales teams, business development and customer success.
The product is framed as a continuous loop with three parts:
- Training Plans, which structure what reps work on.
- Role Plays, where reps practise with AI buyers.
- Meeting Analyzer, which looks at real meetings.
That loop is the main idea. Reps learn, practise and then get feedback on real calls, all in one place. For a sales team that wants practice tied to what happens in live deals, that is a sound design.
Brevity AI roleplay
Brevity’s role plays page goes into real detail. It says reps get AI personas tuned to their company, their products and the skills they need to build.
Teams can upload their methodology and objection guides. Brevity says it then tunes the AI buyers to match the team’s sales motion. Reps practise on demand and get scored on discovery, objections and next steps. Role plays also feed into Training Plans.
The page lists a long set of controls:
- personas configured to a vertical and to buyer types
- configurable buyer moods
- a reusable persona library
- a custom knowledge base per team or role
- a scenario builder for discovery, demo, negotiation and renewal calls
- multi-turn dialogue
- custom scoring rubrics
- screen-share demo evaluation
- feedback mapped to behaviours
- manager visibility
Two of these stand out. Screen-share demo evaluation is useful for teams where the demo is the hard part of the sale. And the range of scenario types, from discovery through to renewal, covers most of a sales and customer success motion.
Its FAQ says it supports MEDDIC, Challenger, Sandler and Command of the Message. It also supports custom methods built from uploaded playbooks. If your team already runs on one of those named methods, that is a quick start.
Brevity integrations
Brevity’s integrations page lists connections for meetings and calls, including Fireflies, RingCentral, Salesloft, Gong and Amazon Connect. It lists Outlook and Google Calendar too.
CRM connections for Salesforce and HubSpot are listed, with a Coming Soon label on the page when it was reviewed. Check the current status with Brevity if your CRM matters to the decision.
The page also says some data access is read-only, and it sets out the stated scope for each connection. That kind of detail helps when IT or RevOps needs to approve a new tool.
Brevity security
On the same page, Brevity says it is SOC 2 Type II compliant. It says data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and that it does not train AI on customer data. It also lists enterprise SSO through an identity provider and configurable enterprise data residency.
These are Brevity’s own published statements. They were not independently verified for this post. If they matter to your security or legal reviewers, ask Brevity for current evidence, such as its latest SOC 2 report, and review it yourself.
Brevity pricing
No public price list was found in Brevity’s public navigation or on the official pages reviewed. Ask Brevity for current pricing.
What Skylar is
Skylar is built for a different job. It serves sales coaches, trainers and training companies who need to turn their own method into practice their clients will actually use.
That job has an awkward shape. A coach does not train one team. They run several engagements at once. Each client has different products, buyers and objections. The method has to stay the same across all of them.
So Skylar starts from the coach’s material. Your framework, talk tracks and assessment criteria shape the roleplays and the feedback. Each client’s context shapes the scenario, from their products to their buyers and the objections their reps hear.
Around the roleplays sit courses, resources, assessments and reviews of real sales conversations. All of them use the same standards, so practice follows what you teach and reviews measure the same thing.
Each client programme keeps its own context. For training firms that want clients to see their name, Skylar offers white-label delivery, with your logo, colours and domain.
Where the two differ
One team or many clients?
Brevity’s reviewed pages describe a platform a company deploys to its own sales teams. The buyer is the sales leader or enablement team, and the users are their reps.
Skylar is designed for a coach with many clients. Each engagement keeps its own context. The coach’s method and brand run across all of them.
Brevity does list a custom knowledge base per team or role. But delivery by an outside trainer to several separate client companies is not covered in the public sources reviewed. Neither is white-label delivery. That is a gap in what was reviewed, not proof those things are missing. If you are a training company, ask Brevity how it would handle your setup.
A company’s motion or a coach’s method?
Brevity tunes practice to one company’s sales motion. You upload that team’s playbook, and the AI buyers learn it.
Skylar tunes practice to the coach’s method first, then to each client. The industry and buyers change from client to client. What stays constant is your framework and how you assess it.
Both can work with a custom methodology. The question is whose method it is. If it belongs to the company, Brevity fits that shape. If it belongs to you, the coach, and travels with you from client to client, Skylar fits better.
What sits around the practice?
Brevity wraps roleplay in the team’s daily work. Training Plans set the path, and Meeting Analyzer connects practice to real calls through tools the team already uses.
Skylar wraps roleplay in a training programme. Courses, roleplays, assessments and conversation reviews work together, so the practice follows your curriculum between live sessions.
Who should choose Brevity?
Brevity is the better fit if:
- You lead sales, enablement, business development or customer success inside one company.
- Your team already runs on MEDDIC, Challenger, Sandler or Command of the Message.
- You want practice, training plans and analysis of real meetings in one loop.
- Your calls already run through tools such as Gong, Salesloft, Fireflies or RingCentral.
- Your reps need to practise demos, and screen-share demo evaluation matters.
- Your buying process needs SOC 2, SSO and data residency answers up front.
If that describes you, Brevity is likely the stronger choice. It is built for exactly that team.
Who should choose Skylar?
Skylar is the better fit if:
- You are a sales coach, trainer or training company, not an in-house enablement team.
- Your methodology is the product, and the assessment criteria need to be yours.
- Each client needs its own products, buyers and objections in the roleplays.
- You deliver to several client organisations and want each programme kept separate.
- You want courses, practice, assessments and call reviews to follow one standard.
- You want clients to see your brand, not a vendor’s.

Can Skylar roleplays follow my own sales methodology?
Yes. Your methodology, talk tracks and assessment criteria shape the roleplays and the feedback. The method stays yours. The buyer context changes for each client.
The short answer, again
