Siro vs Skylar: Recorded Field Conversations or Trainer-Owned Client Programmes?
Siro records real in-person sales conversations on a rep's phone, then turns them into transcripts, scorecards and live AI coaching. Skylar is built for coaches, trainers and training companies running one methodology across separate client engagements. Here is how to choose.

Short answer: choose Siro if you manage in-person or field sales reps and want coaching built on recordings of the conversations they actually have. Choose Skylar if you are an independent sales coach, trainer or training company delivering your own method to several client organisations at once.
Both products use AI to make coaching reach further than one manager’s calendar. They start in different places.
Siro starts with the real conversation. A rep records on their phone, and the platform transcribes, analyses and scores it. Skylar starts with the client programme — the courses, practice and assessments a trainer delivers to an organisation that is not their own.
If the people you coach are on your payroll, read the Siro section first. If they are your clients, skip ahead to Skylar.

The table is not a scorecard. The two products answer different questions. One asks how a company coaches its own field reps. The other asks how a coach delivers one method to five clients who each sell something different.
What Siro is built for
Siro describes itself as AI sales coaching for in-person and field sales teams. The mechanic is simple, and that is the point. A rep records the conversation on their phone. Siro captures it, transcribes it and analyses it. The site groups the result under three headings: visibility, coaching and automation.
That solves a genuine bottleneck. A field manager can only sit in one van, one kitchen or one warehouse at a time. Most in-person conversations are never seen by anyone except the rep who had them. Recording them is the only honest way to know what is being said at the door.
The recordings page sets out the working detail. Reps record on mobile or desktop. Conversations are transcribed, analysed and shared. Coaching happens both during and after the customer conversation, with Halftime described as live AI coaching in the moment. Recording visibility is configurable through permission-based rules, so a company can decide who sees what.
Siro is also clear that consent rules and legal duties are for the customer to validate. Read that as a division of responsibility. The platform provides the recording capability. You own the notices, the consent and the legal review, for both your staff and the people they meet.
Siro’s coaching and practice layers
Two Siro pages matter most if you care about coaching rather than call archiving.
The team coaching page describes scorecards, rep profiles, manager chat, playlists and comments. Two details stand out. Scorecards can measure reps against a sales methodology, and feedback can be linked to specific moments in a transcript. Playlists let a team share real call moments, which is how good habits usually spread — a rep hears a colleague handle the objection, not a slide about handling objections.
The self-coaching page shows that Siro is not recordings alone. Reps can roleplay discovery, objections and closing before a customer meeting, with live guidance during the conversation and review afterwards. The roleplay is described as running against real conversation examples, which is a sensible use of the recording library the platform is already building.
So practice exists in Siro. Its centre of gravity is still the real recorded conversation, and that is a strength for the audience it names.
What Skylar is built for
Skylar is built for the other job: delivering training as a business.
If you are an independent coach or a training company, your method is the product. It has to survive contact with five markets in a quarter without being rebuilt each time, watered down, or handed to clients inside somebody else’s branding.
Skylar gives coaches, trainers and training companies one place for courses, resources, client-specific AI roleplays, assessments, progress tracking and reviews of real conversations. The sales trainers page covers how a programme is assembled. Your framework stays constant. The products, buyers, scenarios and objections change with every client you sign.
That difference shows up in the commercial model too. A workshop is a date in a calendar. A programme is a relationship with practice between sessions, evidence of progress, and a reason for the client to renew. We wrote about that shift in turning one-off workshops into recurring revenue.
There is also a practical constraint worth naming for trainers. Coaching from recordings of real customer conversations depends on getting access to those recordings. A coach working across client organisations often cannot, and often should not want to, given the consent work involved. Practice conversations avoid that entirely, because no customer is in the room.
Pricing, integrations and data handling
Pricing. Siro directs visitors to book a demo, and no public price list appeared on the pages we reviewed. That is not a criticism, and it is not evidence that pricing is high or low. It means budget for a scoping call rather than a self-serve signup. Skylar works the same way: there is no public price list, and scope and price are agreed directly. Ask both vendors the same questions — what the term is, what counts as a user, and what sits outside the base package.
Integrations. Siro’s integrations page lists Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Pipedrive and industry-specific systems, and says a REST API supports bidirectional custom integrations. Treat a named logo as a starting point rather than a guarantee. Confirm what a connection actually covers, which way data flows, and what it costs to implement. Apply the same discipline to Skylar: bring the systems your delivery depends on to the scoping call and confirm the available connection and setup.
Security and data. Siro publishes a Trust Center at trust.siro.ai, and its footer links a privacy policy and a data processing addendum. That is more than many vendors in this category publish, and it is the right place to start. What we will not do is assert certifications, data residency, retention periods or specific security controls on Siro’s behalf without reading the documents. If any of those decide your purchase, request them directly and read them properly. Hold Skylar to the identical standard, and expect written answers.
The view from a training business
If training is what you sell, you ask questions an internal sales manager never has to.
Can I run six client programmes at once without them bleeding into each other? Do my clients see my brand? What happens to a client’s content and data when the engagement ends? Can I reuse my method next quarter without rebuilding it?
The official Siro pages we reviewed do not document white-label delivery, partner or trainer programmes, or multi-client training-company delivery. That is a gap in the published material, not proof the options are unavailable. If any of it decides your purchase, ask Siro directly.
It is also worth being fair about the overlap. A training company working with one large field-sales client might well end up recommending something like Siro to that client, and running its own programme alongside it. Recording real conversations and running a structured practice programme are not competing activities. They answer different halves of the same problem.
Who should choose Siro?
- You manage in-person or field sales reps, and the people you coach are your own staff.
- Manager travel is the real constraint, and reviewing recordings would let one manager cover far more conversations.
- You want coaching grounded in what reps actually said to customers, not only in rehearsal.
- Live in-conversation guidance appeals, and Halftime fits how your reps work.
- Scorecards, rep profiles, playlists and transcript-linked comments are the feedback format your managers will use.
- You want reps to practise discovery, objections and closing against examples drawn from your own real conversations.
- A named CRM connection — Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics or Pipedrive — or a REST API matters to your rollout.
- You are ready to own the recording notices, consent and legal review that a recording platform requires.
Who should choose Skylar?
- You are an independent sales coach, trainer or training company, and the people practising are your clients rather than your colleagues.
- Your methodology is the product, and every roleplay and assessment has to teach your framework.
- Each client needs practice built around their own products, buyers, scenarios and objections.
- You run several client engagements at once and need one method to hold across all of them.
- You want courses, resources, roleplays, assessments and conversation reviews in one place instead of four tools.
- You cannot get access to your clients’ real customer recordings, or do not want the consent burden that comes with them.
- You want workshops to turn into ongoing programmes with evidence of progress the client can see.
Siro vs Skylar FAQs
What is Siro?
Siro is AI sales coaching for in-person and field sales teams. Reps record conversations on their phone, and Siro captures, transcribes and analyses them, with live AI coaching through a feature called Halftime. The site describes the result in terms of visibility, coaching and automation.
How much does Siro cost?
No public price list appeared on the official Siro pages reviewed on 24 August 2026. Siro directs visitors to book a demo, so expect a scoped quote rather than a published rate. Request pricing directly.
What does Siro integrate with?
Siro’s integrations page lists Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Pipedrive and industry-specific systems, and says a REST API supports bidirectional custom integrations. Confirm availability, scope and implementation for your own stack directly with Siro before you rely on any of it.
Is Siro secure and GDPR compliant?
Siro publishes a Trust Center at trust.siro.ai, and links a privacy policy and a data processing addendum in its footer. The pages we reviewed do not, on their own, establish certifications, data residency, retention periods or specific security controls, so request that documentation and read it. Apply the same requirement to every vendor on your list.
Do I need consent to record conversations with Siro?
Siro’s recordings page says consent rules and legal duties need customer validation, and describes configurable permission-based visibility for recordings. Treat recording notices and consent as your own compliance work, for both your reps and the customers they meet, and involve your legal team early.
Does Siro do AI roleplay?
Yes. Siro’s self-coaching page says reps can roleplay discovery, objections and closing before customer meetings, with live guidance and post-meeting review, and that roleplay can run against real conversation examples. The platform’s main focus remains coaching from real recorded conversations.
Can Siro coach against my sales methodology?
Siro’s team coaching page says scorecards can measure reps against a sales methodology, and that feedback can be linked to specific moments in a transcript. If you train to a defined framework, that is a good thing to test during a demo with your own scorecard.
Can a sales trainer deliver Siro to their clients under their own brand?
The official Siro pages we reviewed do not document white-label delivery, trainer or partner programmes, or multi-client training-company delivery. That is not evidence the options are unavailable — the published pages simply do not cover them. Confirm directly with Siro if this decides your purchase.
Which is better for sales coaches and training companies, Siro or Skylar?
Skylar, if you are training clients rather than colleagues, and your own method and brand have to travel across engagements. Siro is the stronger fit when one company wants to coach its own in-person reps from recordings of real customer conversations.
Can Skylar keep my methodology consistent across different clients?
Yes. That is the design. Programmes are built around your methodology while roleplays are made client-specific, so your framework and assessment criteria stay fixed as the products, buyers and objections change with each engagement.
Does Skylar publish pricing?
No. There is no public price list. Scope and price are agreed directly.
The short answer
Siro is the stronger fit for an in-person or field sales organisation that wants to record real customer conversations, coach from them at scale and give reps live guidance in the moment. Skylar is the stronger fit for a coach or training company carrying one method across several client programmes.
If that second description is your business, see how trainers run client programmes in Skylar, browse the Sales Coach Hub for the wider picture, and talk to us about what your first client programme would look like.
