Exec vs Skylar: Which Fits Sales Coaches and Training Companies?
Exec is an AI training platform that combines AI roleplays, call scoring and live coaching, with published per-seat plans. Skylar is built for coaches and training companies that carry one method across separate client engagements. Here is a fair comparison.

Short answer: if you run a revenue team and want AI roleplays, call scoring, certification and live coaching in one platform, Exec is a strong fit. Exec also runs a Solutions Partner programme for training firms and coaches who want to deliver their frameworks to clients inside Exec. If you are a sales coach, trainer or training company carrying one method across separate client engagements — and want a trainer-centred model with a stated white-label option — Skylar is built for that.
Both tools let salespeople practise with an AI buyer, and both have a route for trainers who serve many clients. The real difference is where that work lives. Exec’s main platform is built around a company training its own revenue team, with partners running client workspaces inside Exec. Skylar is built from the start for the trainer who trains many teams.

Exec is a broad training platform for revenue teams
Exec’s home page calls it an AI training platform. It brings three things together: AI roleplays, call scoring and live coaching.
That mix is the point. Reps rehearse with an AI buyer, their calls are scored, and a human coach can step in. For one team, all of that sits in one place.
Exec’s sales-training page and platform page add structure around the practice: programmes, courses and certification. Its coaching platform covers the live coaching side.
Exec roleplays are flexible and rich
Exec’s AI Roleplays page lists many ways to build and run a scenario. You can draft one from a recorded call, a Knowledge Hub page, a Notion doc or a URL. You can create custom characters.
During practice, reps can screen share. Exec offers video avatars, up to four AI personas in one roleplay and group roleplays. Sessions are recorded and transcribed.
The Knowledge Hub feeds this. Exec says it pulls in content from Notion, Google Docs, Guru and Google Drive, as well as PDFs and decks.
For a team with a deep library of playbooks, that is a real shortcut. You do not start from a blank page.
On connections, Exec says it integrates with LMS, CMS, HRIS or LXP tools, and an FAQ on its site names Gong, Chorus and LTI. If a specific system matters to you, ask Exec how it works with yours.
Exec pricing is published per seat
Exec’s pricing page lists four plans, billed annually:
- Free, $0: 5 roleplay sessions per user per year.
- Starter, $20 per seat a month: 5 full-seat minimum; 10 roleplay sessions per user per month.
- Professional, $39 per seat a month: 15 full-seat minimum; unlimited roleplay sessions.
- Enterprise, custom pricing: unlimited roleplay sessions.
Check the page for what else each tier includes. If you want a number before you speak to anyone, a published price list is a plus.
What Exec says about security
Exec’s enterprise privacy page states that it holds SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3. It states that data is encrypted at rest, and in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher. It also lists retention controls, SAML SSO and role-based access control.
Exec has also announced self-serve SSO and SCIM.
These are Exec’s own published statements. If your team or your clients have strict requirements, ask Exec for the reports and check them against your needs.
Skylar is built around the trainer’s method
Skylar starts from the other side of the table. It is made for sales coaches, trainers and training companies that use one methodology across many client engagements.
For each client, you adapt the context: who the buyer is, what is being sold and which objections come up. The assessment criteria stay the same. Reps are judged against what you taught them, whichever client they work for.
That matters when you work with five clients selling five different things. You should not have to rebuild your method each time. You only change the world around it.
Established training firms can also white-label Skylar, so clients see the practice under the firm’s own brand.
The real difference: who owns the practice
Exec’s main platform puts the revenue team in charge. The company trains its own reps, scores its own calls and coaches its own people. That is the model most of its public pages describe.
Exec does have a route for trainers, though. Its partners page describes a Solutions Partner programme for sales training firms, leadership development consultancies, coaches and professional-services teams. Partners can turn their frameworks into roleplays, scorecards and programmes that clients run inside Exec. They can create and run client workspaces billed to themselves or to their clients. They can also buy and administer an Exec workspace for a named client, including as the customer of record.
So Exec does support multi-client delivery. Your clients work inside Exec workspaces. Its pricing page also lists Custom Branding. The pricing and partner pages do not explain whether that is full white-label delivery, how it works for partner-managed workspaces or which plans include it. If branding is part of your client offer, confirm the scope with Exec directly.
Skylar puts the coach in charge from the start. You carry one method across many client engagements and keep it consistent. The people practising are your clients’ reps, not your staff. And if you are an established firm, your clients can see that practice under your own brand.
Choose Exec if
- You run an in-house revenue team and want roleplay, call scoring, certification and live coaching in one platform.

- You want assessment criteria that stay consistent with your framework.
- You want to deliver practice under your own brand through white-label delivery.
