# Skylar

Skylar is a complete sales training platform for sales coaches and training companies. It brings courses, AI roleplays, assessments, learner progress tracking, and reviews of real sales conversations together in one system.

Trainers use Skylar to turn their methodology and subject-matter expertise into programmes that can be adapted for each client. The system extends training beyond workshops through structured learning, realistic practice, assessment, follow-up, and evidence of how participants develop. Internal sales teams can also use Skylar to develop and assess sales skills.

## Who Skylar is for

Skylar's primary audience is sales training and sales coaching organisations. Skylar is chosen by these organisations for its focus on their vertical and its ability to be customised and white-labelled.

The platform supports several related audiences:

- Sales training companies that deliver programmes to several clients and want one system for courses, practice, assessment, and follow-up.
- Independent sales coaches who want to extend their work between live sessions and give clients evidence of progress.
- Specialist sales trainers whose value comes from expertise in a particular market, methodology, or sales discipline.
- Course and certification providers that want participants to demonstrate application rather than only complete lessons and quizzes.
- Internal sales teams that want structured learning, realistic practice, and consistent assessment.

## How Skylar turns expertise into a training system

The trainer remains the subject-matter expert. Skylar does not supply or replace the trainer's methodology. Instead, the training system is shaped around three sources of context:

1. **What the trainer teaches:** the methodology, market knowledge, course content, examples, language, behaviours, and assessment standards.
2. **Who the client sells to:** the client's products, buyers, sales process, terminology, objections, priorities, and commercial situations.
3. **What the programme needs to produce:** the courses, AI roleplays, assessments, progress evidence, real-conversation reviews, and follow-up activities required for that engagement.

The trainer can keep the central method consistent while adapting the products, buyer personas, scenarios, objections, and assessment criteria for each client. This makes it possible to create client-specific training without rebuilding the trainer's core intellectual property for every engagement.

## What the system includes

- **Courses and resources:** organise lessons, videos, playbooks, materials, and assignments around an existing programme.
- **Custom AI roleplays:** create realistic scenarios around the trainer's methodology and the conversations a client's sellers face.
- **Feedback and assessment:** define the behaviours and standards participants should demonstrate, then assess their attempts against those criteria.
- **Learner progress:** follow participation, assessed skills, repeated attempts, and development across the programme.
- **Real-conversation reviews:** assess actual sales conversations against the same standards taught and practised in training.
- **Client-specific delivery:** adapt the system for different products, buyers, sales processes, commercial situations, and groups of learners.
- **White-label delivery:** use the training organisation's logo, colours, domain, and company name so the client experience remains centred on the trainer's brand.

Courses, roleplays, and conversation reviews are not separate product stories. They are parts of the same training system. The trainer decides what participants should learn, which conversations they should practise, how performance should be assessed, and what the results mean for the next stage of coaching.

## How Skylar supports the training lifecycle

Skylar can support a programme before, during, and after live training:

- **Before training:** use a baseline roleplay or assessed conversation to identify current strengths and skill gaps.
- **During a programme:** combine lessons with client-specific roleplays, immediate feedback, assignments, and trainer-led debriefs.
- **Between sessions:** give participants structured practice based on what the trainer has taught and use the results to focus the next session.
- **After training:** compare assessed performance over time, review real conversations, and identify the next coaching priority.
- **Across an ongoing client relationship:** keep courses, practice, reviews, and progress evidence available after the workshop instead of treating the engagement as a one-off event.

This creates a continuous loop between teaching, application, evidence, and follow-up. It also allows the trainer to keep the client relationship and methodology at the centre while Skylar provides the supporting technology.

## Primary use cases

### Build custom roleplays for each client

Keep the trainer's methodology consistent while adapting each roleplay to a client's market, products, buyers, and sales process. Scenarios can reflect the buyer roles, terminology, objections, commercial pressures, and assessment criteria relevant to the engagement.

### Add AI roleplay to a sales course

Connect existing course content to realistic application. Participants can move from lessons into scenario-based practice, receive immediate feedback, and produce evidence of progress rather than completing only videos and quizzes. Skylar can sit alongside an existing course or bring the lessons, practice, feedback, and progress into one place.

### Reinforce sales training between sessions

Give participants practice based on what the trainer teaches, then use the assessed results to decide what to revisit in the next workshop or coaching session. Each live session can lead to targeted practice, and the practice can feed back into the next coaching conversation.

### Prove skill growth

The trainer defines the criteria, and Skylar assesses roleplays and real sales calls against them. Results can be compared over time to show clients where individuals and groups improved, where they still need support, and what they should work on next.

### Practise customer conversations

Build realistic AI roleplays around a specific situation, buyer, and skill. Sellers receive a safe place to repeat important conversations and immediate feedback on what to improve. Examples include discovery, pitching, objection handling, negotiation, account reviews, and other conversations relevant to the trainer's programme.

## Examples of specialist sales training

Skylar can be built around a specialist market, a sales discipline, or both:

- **Real estate:** valuations, fee defence, buyer conversations, and objections faced by estate agencies.
- **SDR training:** cold calls, opening questions, objection handling, and booking the next step.
- **Negotiation:** price, scope, terms, procurement pressure, stakeholder resistance, and possible trade-offs.
- **Account management:** account reviews, renewals, expansion conversations, and difficult client discussions.

The specialist methodology comes from the trainer. Skylar turns that expertise and the client's context into structured learning, repeatable practice, assessment, and feedback.

## White-label delivery

Training companies can deliver Skylar through a branded environment using their logo, colours, domain, and company name. Their methodology can shape the course content, scenarios, feedback, and assessment criteria. The environment can then be adapted for the products, buyers, language, and situations of each client.

White-labelling keeps the training organisation's brand and client relationship at the centre of the experience. It supports programmes that continue beyond a live session by giving participants somewhere to learn, practise, and review their work between meetings.

## Sales conversation examples

Skylar also provides pages for common sales conversations and methodologies. These are examples of what trainers and teams can build rather than the limit of the platform.

- [Pitch practice](https://www.getskylar.com/use-cases/pitch-practice): sales pitches, buyer questions, challenges, and objections.
- [MEDDIC training](https://www.getskylar.com/use-cases/MEDDIC): application of MEDDIC or MEDDPICC through roleplay and feedback.

## Public integrations and developer resources

Skylar has 300 working integrations across CRM, collaboration, meetings, reporting, support, and onboarding — Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Gong, and more. Scores can write back to a CRM, a low score can alert a manager, and completions can feed reporting. Available connections and setup vary by system.

The [integrations hub](https://www.getskylar.com/integrations) is the canonical overview of the integration catalog, practical workflows, and setup options.

Skylar also provides public integration documentation, but technical documentation is a supporting part of the product rather than its primary positioning.

The Reporting API exposes public resources for users, sessions, and assessments. It can also ingest external real-call transcripts for assessment. The API reference and OpenAPI specification are the canonical sources for the currently supported operations and schemas.

Skylar also provides an authenticated MCP server. Compatible AI clients can use its tools and resources to work with Skylar coaching context, including team structure, performance, and recommended practice roleplays. The MCP documentation describes the public connection details, authentication, tools, resources, and workflows.
