**Short answer:** if your company wants voice roleplays, rubric scoring and links into its own CRM, LMS and security set-up, Simmie is a strong fit. It suits in-house sales, enablement and compliance-minded teams. If you are a sales coach, trainer or training company carrying one method across separate client engagements, Skylar is built for that.

Both tools let reps practise with an AI buyer and get scored. The real question is who runs the practice. Simmie’s public pages speak to a company training its own team. Skylar is built for the trainer who trains many teams.

## What is Simmie?

[Simmie](https://www.simmie.ai/) sells AI sales readiness. It pairs AI simulations with personalised coaching.

Reps practise, get scored against a rubric, and leave a transcript behind. Simmie describes those transcripts as audit-ready. It also says practice runs in more than 40 languages.

One detail stands out. Simmie says scenarios can draw on your actual conversations, approved transcripts and playbooks. So practice can sound like your market, not a generic one.

## Simmie’s sales roleplays are voice-first

Simmie’s [AI sales roleplay page](https://www.simmie.ai/ai-sales-roleplay) describes voice-first roleplays with buyer personas. Reps can practise cold calls, discovery, objection handling, demos and negotiation.

Each call is scored against a rubric. Managers get dashboards to see how the team is doing.

The [features page](https://www.simmie.ai/features) adds 24/7 access, mobile support, assignable modules and organisation-wide analytics. Simmie also lists custom implementation services. For a sales leader who wants to assign practice and track it, that is a full kit.

## Simmie’s enterprise and integration strengths

This is where Simmie makes its strongest case.

Its [enterprise page](https://www.simmie.ai/enterprise-sales-roleplay) says MCP links Simmie to your CRM, LMS, enablement content and call data. Simmie says it supports SSO, role-based access, centralised provisioning, in-tenant deployment, and data residency and isolation. It also says it is SOC 2 Type II certified, runs on Azure, and includes directory sync and audit trails.

Simmie’s [MCP page](https://www.simmie.ai/mcp) goes a step further. It says its MCP server can expose live voice and text roleplay, rubric scoring, readiness checks and coaching assignments to MCP-compatible assistants.

If your IT and compliance teams have a long checklist, that list of claims is worth a close look. These are Simmie’s own statements, so ask for the detail your security review needs.

## Simmie pricing

When we checked the [Simmie pricing page](https://www.simmie.ai/pricing) on 15 October 2026, it listed prices in US dollars:

- **Annual Team billing, $4,999 paid upfront:** includes five hours of onboarding and training support.
- **Onboarding & Setup, $2,500:** optional.
- **Enterprise:** priced through a sales conversation.
- **Add-ons:** Call Upload, Field Recording and a Compliance Pack.

The pricing page says the Compliance Pack covers a BAA, SSO, in-tenant deployment, PII redaction and custom retention. It is included in Enterprise and available on the Annual License.

Simmie also has a [practice offering](https://www.simmie.ai/practice) for high-ticket consultative selling. It lists a free 50-credit trial, with no card needed and a work email required.

Prices change, so check the live page before you budget.

## Skylar is built around the trainer’s method

Skylar starts from the other side of the table. It is made for [sales coaches, trainers and training companies](https://www.getskylar.com/who-we-help/sales-trainers) that use one methodology across many client engagements.

For each client, you adapt the context: who the buyer is, what is being sold and which objections come up. The assessment criteria stay the same. Reps are judged against what you taught them, whichever client they work for.

That matters when you have five clients selling five different things. You should not have to rebuild your method each time. You only change the world around it.

Established training firms can also [white-label Skylar](https://www.getskylar.com/white-label), so clients see practice under the firm’s own brand.

## The real difference: who owns the practice

Simmie’s public pages are written for organisations training their own teams. The company brings its calls and playbooks, sets the rubric, assigns modules and tracks results. That is a clean model for an in-house team.

The public material we reviewed does not describe a trainer or partner programme, white-label delivery, or a way for one training company to run separate client engagements. That does not mean Simmie cannot support it. It means the public pages do not say. If you are a training company, ask Simmie how it would handle your clients, your branding and many engagements at once.

Skylar puts the coach in charge from the start. You carry one method across every engagement and keep it consistent. The people practising are your clients’ reps, not your staff.

## Choose Simmie if

- You run an **in-house sales or enablement team** training your own reps.
- You want **voice-first roleplays** built from your own calls, transcripts and playbooks.
- You need **enterprise controls** such as SSO, role-based access, in-tenant deployment or data residency, which Simmie says it supports.
- You want practice wired into your **CRM, LMS and AI tools** through MCP.
- You work in a **compliance-heavy** setting and value audit trails, plus the PII redaction and custom retention Simmie lists in its Compliance Pack.
- You need practice in **many languages**. Simmie says it covers more than 40.

## Choose Skylar if

- You are a **sales coach, trainer or training company** and want a product built around delivering your own method to client teams.
- You need **one methodology across separate client engagements**, with buyer, product and objection context adapted for each.
- You want **assessment criteria that stay consistent** with your framework, client after client.
- You want to deliver practice **under your own brand** through white-label delivery.
